As part of the "Enhancing Digital Government & Economy (EDGE)" initiative, I am currently teaching Software Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) to students at Uttara University, Jagannath university. This initiative is a government-backed project designed to empower students with the critical skills necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving field of software development and testing. The course focuses on practical knowledge and real-world applications of QA processes, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the methodologies, tools, and best practices used in the industry today.The curriculum includes essential topics such as manual testing, automation testing, defect tracking, test case development, and performance testing, preparing students to handle complex software testing challenges. By engaging in hands-on exercises and project work, students gain valuable experience that helps them build a strong foundation for their careers in software quality assurance.The EDGE initiative is not only aimed at improving the digital literacy of the students but also at supporting the broader goal of enhancing the digital infrastructure of the country. Through this program, students are equipped with the skills to contribute effectively to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the IT sector, thus playing a key role in advancing the digital economy of Bangladesh.
