I’ve been blessed with having had the opportunity to pursue “ventures of passion,” as I call them. I believe success is preceded by the convergence of passion and work. The beautiful game of soccer has played a major role in my life, and I was fortunate to have capitalized on the emergence of the sport in America throughout the ‘90s. I participated in the wild ride brought about by the internet at the turn of the century. Lots of lessons learned. In 2001 I decided to pursue an ambitious venture in the world of international education. The Scholar Ship would become my most proud accomplishment, and that of my esteemed colleagues. Our experiential-based program provided university students from around the world an extraordinary opportunity to integrate education and travel like never before. Thereafter, I spent two fantastic years collaborating with the team at Stone Mantel, an insights consultancy focused on finding the marketing experiences that matter most to consumers. They do an amazing job helping companies identify the marketing and innovation strategies to create meaningful brand experiences. Two more years flew by while working with an insanely talented team on the development of a lifestyle apparel brand for TexOps, which historically has been a contract manufacturer servicing global performance brands, including lulu lemon, Patagonia, Nike, etc. These days, I help clients grow their businesses as a growth consultant. I'm also engaged with the management team at REA Resource Recovery Systems, a technology company on the forefront of waste-to-energy in the wastewater treatment industry.
