Served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 8 years as a Commissioned Officer. Graduated from Marion Military Institute, Marion, Alabama after 2 years and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves. Graduated from Combat Engineer Officer Basic Course at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Airborne School at Ft. Benning, GA., and Air Assault School at Camp Gruber, OK. Graduated from East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma with a B.S. degree in Cartography. Well rounded Army service while serving in a several units during my 8 year stint including Spec Ops Aviation (MH-6 Section Leader) Infantry (Platoon Leader) Combat Heavy (construction - Platoon Leader) Combat Light (breeching and clearing - Platoon Leader) and back to Aviation transport (CH-47 Chinook unit) where I finished my 8 years and was Honorably Discharged.
