Erin Rooney, B.Sc. Email and Phone Number
My versatility and adaptability allows me to quickly build rapport and initiate meaningful relationships from a foundation of trust and respect. I excel at collaborating with the purpose of maximizing the delivery of programs, projects and nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships. I’m curious and adventurous, looking to learn and receive feedback from others. I have an open-door policy and believe people are doing their best. I look for opportunities to recognize others, create space for everyone's opinions and be available and approachable. My grit and resilience means that I will show up for others to help the team achieve its goals. Outside of my time at work, you’ll often find me riding bicycles. While I’m rarely the fastest, I’m often the leader because of my ability to navigate and present route options depending on the capacity and mood of my fellow riders. I enjoy gardening, from starting seeds indoors in the dark days of winter through to the harvest in summer, watching as some things thrive and others succumb to their environmental conditions. Do-It-Yourself projects excite me and I’m not afraid to research social media if a wall needs repairing, or a faucet needs replacing.

Director / Lead / ManagerOpen To New Opportunities Jan 2024 - PresentI’m a compassionate connector. Through my careers in as a professional biologist in environmental consulting and then as a fundraiser for a non-profit, I’ve held a variety of leadership and development roles. I’m able to meet people where they are at, build trust and then support them to thrive in their roles through projects, programs, or in their communities. I am looking for director, manager, or lead roles where I am helping to create, nurture and develop a team who have complex relationships internally, and externally. The sectors I am most interested in include non-profit, government, or academia. I am always open to having a conversation to explore if you have something in mind that might align with my skills, strengths, and values!
