I’m a compassionate connector. Through my careers in as a professional biologist in environmental consulting and then as a fundraiser for a non-profit, I’ve held a variety of leadership and development roles. I’m able to meet people where they are at, build trust and then support them to thrive in their roles through projects, programs, or in their communities. I am looking for director, manager, or lead roles where I am helping to create, nurture and develop a team who have complex relationships internally, and externally. The sectors I am most interested in include non-profit, government, or academia. Lead for the Light The Night peer-to-peer fundraising campaign while supporting other fund development in the Prairies Region. Collaborated with peers across the country to deliver on a peer-to-peer fundraising event that returned to in person after 3 years of virtual experiences.- Recruited 6 new committee members through networking and relationship building to add to the 3 returning members. Stewarded this group to raise over 50% of total campaign revenue. - Confidently adjusted forecast and projections based on relationships and trust amid constantly shifting targets and priorities, allowing for transparency and risk management at a national level. - Managed hundreds of returning and new participants (>400 including corporate and community). Supported their fundraising efforts to provide them with a rewarding experience with the goal of raising funds and retention to participate in future years.

Reporting to the Director, the Manager role evolved with direct reports (and all associated human resources functions) ranging from 1 – 5 staff across the Region. Responsible for peer-to-peer fundraising and support of national fundraising/donor development activities (direct mail (including digital), legacy giving, monthly donors, and major gifts). - Led Calgary to a record year in 2021, raising over $850,000 ($150,000 more than ever before). Stewarded the highest individual fundraiser in the history of the campaign who raised over $300,000.- Supported the expansion of a National Cause Marketing Campaign with Loblaws from Saskatchewan expanding to include Quebec west to B.C. and the Yukon. Relationships based in Calgary allowed for this successful expansion and execution of raising >$350,000 annually. - Facilitated the Canada Summer Jobs Grant program to allow for additional student/youth capacity across the Prairies during campaign season. Supported peers in Ontario and B.C. to utilize the program, leading to additional capacity during key campaign periods. - Adapted to different delivery models through the pandemic, requiring innovative fund development ideas (e.g. Great Big Kitchen Party, Gift Card Survivor, online Silent Auction), thereby maintaining awareness and engagement during a challenging time. - Coordinated the overall shutdown and necessary logistics involved with the closing of the physical office location, thereby reducing liability and significant monthly expenses.

Technical specialization in environmental assessments, regulatory compliance (Alberta), as well as senior support for field programs primarily involving water, water quality, wetlands, fisheries, and biophysical aspects. Leadership role in business development internal and external, report writing and editing, and overall project management. - Supported new Division manager with onboarding, relationship management (internal and external) to ensure seamless transition and continued trust.- Served as the main client contact to ensure excellent project delivery and issues management with City of Calgary, Alberta Transportation, Oil and Gas clients.

As the environmental division grew, consistent and full-time leadership was required in both Edmonton and Calgary, requiring a Southern Alberta focus on Calgary, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and Red Deer. Continued internal relationship building based on excellent project delivery, as well as external business development.- Environmental lead managing the complex coordination of multi stakeholders (construction, engineering, geotechnical, regulatory, government, public) for repairs to dozens of impacted and impassable sites along Highway 40 after the 2013 floods in Southern Alberta for Alberta Transportation. Managed the environmental risk while completing repairs to reopen the road.- Awarded a Consulting Engineers of Alberta Award for Environmental Excellence, raising the brand profile of the company and demonstrating subject matter expertise.

Responsible for assembling a high-performing team with diverse technical specialties and extensive collective experience in Calgary and Edmonton. Business Development (internal and external) and project work to support the chargeability of the Division. - Created buy-in for environmental services across the Engineering divisions in Alberta and supported this work in B.C., Yellowknife, and Saskatchewan. Focused on relationship building, finding ally’s, delivering on projects to offer proof of concept to grow trust and expanded service offerings internally. This contributed to less external environmental services being hired, and more profit being retained. - Environmental lead for Deh Cho Bridge construction near Fort Providence, NWT. Worked with engineering team as the Owner’s Engineer for this sensitive (environmental, political, cultural, financial) project allowing for year round access between Yellowknife and the rest of Canada. - The youngest and often only technical female at the board room table for Management meetings, representing the Environmental division and building rapport and trust. - Recognized for my commitment to business growth, became a shareholder alongside approximately 1/3 of the 850 staff across Canada.

Technical project delivery expert working in the field in the role of botany, fisheries, and water quality/quantity. Responsible for project management tasks including proposals, field work logistics, reporting, and budgeting. - Independent Power Producer run of river environmental impact assessments across remote areas of BC (Revelstoke/Mica Dam, Kaslo, Hope/Fraser River): Fish and fish habitat, water quantity and quality, riparian health, geomorphology.- Identified a new subspecies of rare plant (botrychium) along the SEMcams Redwillow Pipeline right of way during pre-clearing/environmental impact vegetation assessments.- Successfully brought a reclamation project over because of excellent relationship stewardship. Great Sandhills monitoring of Burlington Resources shallow gas pipeline system (60+ kms of pipeline).
