I transferred to SimLabIT as an old employee and retained my previous role from SenSoftia. My tasks involve dealing with mainly the same client organizations as before the move, and handling their assigned software development tasks.

As a project manager, I took on more management tasks, mainly dealing with the same major client as I had been working for during my time as software engineer. My workload stayed somewhat similar, but now included also creating work offers and more direct communication with the subcontracting client, as well as more direct co-operation with their develpment team.

As a software engineer, I took on the main development tasks for a major subcontracting client. The project consisted mainly of javascript development, using Node Express & legacy AngularJS on the front end, with some Docker deployment setup for good measure.

Working mainly full-time, either remotely or at Sensoftia's Kuopio office, I worked on the Vireum remote conferencing application. I spent a few months on Vireum Mobile, using the Ionic 2- hybrid mobile framework. I also wrote a good bit of AngularJS code while working on Vireum's web user interface, and honed my Java skills adding some features on to the backend, using Ninja Framework. The main techonologies and paradigms used were AngularJS, version 1 on the web UI and 2 on the mobile app, Ninja Framework on the Java backend server, Git for version control, and CSS3 and Sass for styling and modern, web component-style web design. I also familiarized myself with tools such as webpack, node, gulp, cordova, and gained insights into emerging technologies such as es6 and webRTC.

As a part time employee, I ported some MATLAB image processing filters over to C++ and ImageMagick. I also worked on AngularJS frontend development.

A part-time job acting as a course runner, running an introductory embedded electronics course at a local upper secondary school. I acted as an outside course runner along with a teacher of the school to teach an introductory course using Mehackit's curriculum on the popular Arduino platform.

This part-time work included running a hot dog cart during night times on the weekends and special occasions.The job was very independent, only meeting the company owner a few times a month. It involved working with customers in different stages of inebriation, handling money and preparing food. During this job I realized that I quite enjoy customer service, and love working independently. The most difficult thing was not getting frostbite on slow nights, and constantly reworking my sleep schedule.
