As computational chemist, I model chemical reactions at nanometer scale by performing Density Functional Theory simulations. I perform electronic structure analyses to study the chemical bond formation and breakage. At larger scale, I model the reaction process with microkinetic simulations and chemical reactor models. In my thesis I focus on CO and CO2 reacting towards CH4 over cobalt catalysts.

With a team of five we organized a Symposium about Sustainability in the Chemical Industry. My main responsibility was the budget. I also had other organizational tasks, including determining the day program, inviting speakers and hosting at the day itself. This brought me into contact with various companies and associations.
