moayyedian.comI am a Toronto-based digital media designer and developer. My technical background in computer engineering and my passion for human-centric design and all things interactive lead me to mixed reality development. I have a keen interest in emerging technologies blurring the line between what’s real and what’s digital, and more importantly, the user experiences and storytelling that can be achieved with these technologies. I have worked on a variety of projects including interactive screens, web apps, games, mobile apps, augmented/virtual reality projects, and touch screen installations.I did my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto in Computer Engineering, with a certificate in Engineering Business. My thesis was the research and development of an Android app, capable of detecting pronunciation mistakes using sound analysis. This application was also able to provide methods for pronunciation improvement based on vowel phonetics.Following my interest in entrepreneurship, design, and user experience, I did my Master's degree in Digital Media at Toronto Metropolitan University (previously Ryerson University). My thesis was the research and development of a lifestyle game in the form of an app, called “Planetarium”, focusing on habit change and self-improvement using gamification.Since graduation, I have designed and developed multi-disciplinary projects for brands such as Sapporo, Tweed, Nuit Blanche Toronto, Red Right Hand Publishing, Convivial Studio, and more.
