My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the following tasks:🔹 Led the resolution of a mechanical seal leak issue by implementing the 8D methodology to identify and address the problem. Successfully resolved the issue within 4 weeks and applied required changes to product🔹 Responsible engineer for designing experimental setups for verification testing and identifying crucial characteristics of gasket, such as burst pressure, lifetime and burst pressure🔹 Led the development of over-molded components, achieving over 65% cost savings compared to the previous design. This component design was crucial in meeting the overall hardware cost requirements🔹 Reviewed 2D and assembly drawings to verify the correct application of GD&T and ensure alignment with the manufacturing process and supplier feedback🔹 Addressed the design prerequisites for components and establishing the part's design requirements based on DFMEA linkages and related failure modes🔹 Carried out arithmetic and statistical tolerance stack-up analyses using GD&T per ASME Y14.5M to evaluate manufacturability, assembly feasibility, and compliance with safety standards🔹 Directly engaged with external manufacturers on a weekly basis.
