Initially recruited to provide support for a vacated supervisor position, but currently fulfilling the majority of the role, and credited for measurable increases on project margins. Organize the work of staff, trades and suppliers, and coordinate material and equipment deployment for large-scale residential renovations. Responsible for managing project schedules, site operations, supply orders, and client communications.

After the onset of the pandemic, I successfully transitioned my career in event production to construction project management, through networking and continuing education studies. Promoted to Project Coordinator from a PMA role within 10 months. Responsible for leading smaller job files, while also supporting the management of large-loss insurance restoration projects with budgets of up to $1M.

Sub-contracted to lead client-owned events, and to manage various elements of the company’s proprietary events. Responsible for operations planning, securing permits and route permissions, designing and mapping course plans, coordinating vendors, and leading and supervising event staff. Examples include the 9,000-person RBC Race for the Kids, as well as a wide range of cycling events, running races and triathlon events.

Contracted to manage event execution and client service on key accounts. Responsible for coordinating the work of suppliers and service providers, preparing and negotiating contracts, designing site drawings, and planning and implementing production schedules for events with operating budgets exceeding $1M. Examples include the 15,000-person Heart and Stroke Ride for Heart, as well as charity walks, cross-province cycling tours, gala dinners, conferences and corporate events.

Independently created a participatory race series that drew more than 17,000 entrants over 50 events, leading end-to-end planning, administration and production for each one. Solely responsible for budget management, purchasing, cost and schedule tracking, supplier relationships, securing permit approvals, and all other components of every event project. My signature event was 9 times awarded “Best Of” distinction in a national magazine’s reader poll, and grew to become the largest of its kind in Canada.

Coordinated operations for the Foundation’s mass participation events. Recognized with both the Marty Rothstein Award for Innovation and quarterly Spotlight Award for my work on the inaugural 7 Summits stair-climbing challenge. After I left to take a contract role under my own business, this position was largely outsourced to the company I was contracted by.
