I had two roles: 1) Sold large scale messaging/directory servers to some of the world's largest communication service providers, which included Sprint, USA.NET, Echostar, AT&T, TELUS, etc. Pioneered the use of its IP messaging platform for mobile applications, which helped create Openwave Systems (the merger of Software.com and Phone.com). 2) Subsequently created a hybrid role in the Device Products Group to specifically focus on the software required for mobile devices and the business development effort needed to enable Openwave's next generation products. Successfully deployed Openwave mobile clients (browser, messaging client) on the networks of the major mobile operators in the Americas, which included AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile USA, TELUS, Bell Mobility, Rogers, TeleSP, etc.
