Delighted to have settled in so quickly in my new role as a Demand Forecasting Analyst covering both residential and business portfolios. Very excited to continue building my knowledge of the UK energy supply business and global commodity markets by working on projects forecasting the demand requirements for gas and power supply to our customers. It has been an extremely challenging first 2 months in the role due to the rapidly changing outlook across the markets, however I believe this has enabled me to develop a strong technical skillset and broad knowledge base in a short period of time.

After being awarded a place on the 2020 Commercial Analyst summer internships scheme, due to the COVID-19 situation the formal internship scheme was cancelled however I completed a remote engagement internship scheme in its place. This scheme allowed me to take part in excel training sessions with assessed projects to progress my competency in handling large data sets, along with remote meetings with current graduate analysts and business strategy team members to provide insight into the operations of Centrica.
