Hi, I'm Rory Attwell, a London-based music therapist, musician, producer, and audio engineer.I graduated with a Music Therapy Master's Degree from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, where I gained extensive training and diverse clinical experience working with adults with mental health issues for the NHS East London Foundation Trust and in schools working with adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and younger children with behavioural challenges. I also gained valuable experience at deafblind charity Sense, fostering inclusivity and adapting therapeutic approaches for individuals with sensory impairments and complex disabilities.Having 18-years of experience and expertise in production, audio engineering, and studio recording, coupled with my skills as a multi-instrumentalist, enable me to bring a flexible approach to the therapy space. This allows me to facilitate an organic improvisational approach, and also to implement music technology and electronic instruments with relative ease (when the need for a more flexible palette of sounds or a more compositional approach arise)With a deep belief in music as a universal language, I infuse playfulness, creativity and innovation into my therapeutic interventions, tailoring each session to meet the needs of the individual or group. My passion lies in nurturing emotional growth and empowerment through music therapy, creating meaningful and transformative moments for those I work with.I'm currently seeking new, regular part-time work as a music therapist and am excited to meet you!
