I spearheaded sourcing efforts and business development opportunities for early-stage Seed to Series A startups in Dreamit's Securetech vertical. I conducted deep industry research to understand emerging trends and identify potentially highly disruptive companies within those verticals for venture investment. I was also author and editor of the Dreamit Securetech Newsletter, which gave insight on a variety of topics relevant to the Securetech vertical.

I source early-stage (Seed to Series A) high-performing startups through national and local entrepreneurial events, accelerator demo days, and my personal network. I am part of the first layer of Blu's screening process and quickly form educated opinions on whether to recommend that a company presents to Blu's principals or not. When a company successfully moves to the due diligence process, I am the tip of the spear and conduct research including customer calls, competitive and market analysis, and tech analysis. I also develop financial models demonstrating the potential trajectory of a company and its various exit scenarios. I have successfully raised $250K to support the launch of a new cybersecurity fund.

The Securities Analyst is responsible for coordinating and monitoring payment for a variety of derivative coupon securities with multiple leading international and domestic investment brokerage firms. The specialist is also responsible for instructing and maintaining proper accounting treatment of these payments and is accountable for any associated cash breaks. The specialist is also responsible for performing regulatory financial reporting.
