I brought software development best-practices to long running and extremely large Architectural Visualisation product. Challenges included the sheer scale of the project in terms assets and scope, restructuring an existing platform to be more composable and reusable, optimising build and delivery cycles to be more reproducible and generally faster and also addressing security and audit concerns.

Full stack development at a startup building a complex real-time web application using Postgraphile, Matrix and Vue.I provided performance and security improvements as well as new features by extending and optimising the Postgraphile based (v4 and v5) back end to incorporate a sophisticated PostgreSQL Row Level Security strategy and reflect real time updates to the Apollo based front end in an optimised and generic fashion.

System Design, Development and Documentation for online and on site event platforms with a development team distributed around the world/ clock including Europe, Sydney and New York.I was responsible for several rounds of improvements to a particular piece of software that featured live and on demand video streaming, chat and and dynamic news feeds to often fairly large virtual and physical audiences.

Having worked at this company for some time I saw an opportunity to design a system that reduced the time it took to deploy software to an exhibit stand from days to hours. This was achieved through automation, standardisation and streamlining of the inter departmental processes through new in house tools.My role encompassed Systems and Process design for the Development, Packaging & Deployment of software across air gapped environments within rigid time constraints. The system was successfully deployed globally including US, China and Europe.

Working with depth cameras on experiential products using OpenCV, Unity3D and synthesised audio. A multiplayer snake game for Nokia using the then very modern NodeJS.
