The primary objective of the DMP Australian Small Caps Trust is to build a portfolio of highconviction small caps (which are those stocks listed in Australia outside the S&P/ASX 100 bymarket cap, but above the S&P/ASX 300) which will outperform this universe by 5% p.a. overrolling five year periods. At the core of DMPAM’s investment process is the rigorous analysis of companies. We take what is known in the market and then grow this knowledge by independent research including meeting with companies, competitors and suppliers.Our focus is to identify companies which are growing at a rate faster than the market, withhigh quality management and strong business models where this growth has not yet beenrecognised in the share price. We invest for the long term and seek to exploit the inefficiencies that can arise in the market in the short term.
