As a DevOps Engineer, I am responsible for maintaining the core infrastructure and developing critical solutions that scale across large critical systems. My main focus has been on Kubernetes orchestration, container management, and infrastructure as code (IaC). Additionally, I have taken on responsibilities in configuring networking devices such as switches and firewalls.

In this role, I took a deeper dive into infrastructure management and DevOps practices. My primary responsibility was deploying infrastructure as code using Ansible, while leveraging Docker containerization in a Linux environment. I also contributed to building a Kubernetes system from the ground up and managing CI/CD pipelines through GitLab.I was responsible for Third Line Support, providing direct client communication and triaging issues while leading Epics and taking on increased team responsibilities. Key Achievements:Deployed infrastructure as code (IaC) using Ansible and Docker in a Linux environment.Regular client interaction as Third Line Support lead, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.Developed advanced automation scripts in Python and Bash, streamlining operational tasks.

As a Graduate Developer, I worked on two major projects. The first focused on using C# and SQL for a large-scale medical data project, where I implemented extensive automated testing. The second project involved building a test automation suite using Selenium, and writing test cases and scenarios in an agile environment. I have spent the last 8 months as an Officer Cadet at the premier leadership academy: Royal Military Academy Sandhurst training to be an Army Officer. Unfortunately, due to an injury sustained in service, I am being medically discharged. While at RMAS I have displayed and learned skills critical to excelling in any industry, these being: Leadership: RMAS takes people who show exceptional leadership capabilities and through strenuous training teaches them to lead. Within this role I have regularly led a Platoon of 30 through day to day tasks as well as the opportunity to lead a company of 90 soldiers and cadets.Work ethic: although I would always consider myself a hardworking individual RMAS pushed this to another level requiring me to work 18 hour days seven days a week for months at a time as well as strenuous exercises requiring me to lead combat simulation scenarios. Learning Capabilities: training requires you to learn many skills competently and rapidly on minimal energy and sleep and learning multiple disciplines simultaneously to the standard to teach your soldiers. Mental Fortitude: having to function on minimal sleep, lead teams and solve complex and intellectual scenarios while under intense pressure.Communication: a crucial skill when leading is having strong communication skills, whether that is organising and executing a platoon attack in a noisy environment under high stress and exhaustion or being able to lead a presentation in front of a large audience, I have been provided ample opportunities in both.Functioning under pressure: all the above capabilities are useless if you cave in under pressure and that is recognised by RMAS so you are regularly put under high pressure and expected to function at your highest capability.

During the Covid-19 pandemic I took up a role within the NHS at University Hospital Birmingham where I worked within Application Support. This role required me to regularly manage users on an extensive hospital network and triage in order to fix any application issues so that the most critical tasks receive priority attention. This job was completely remotely requiring me to self-motivate and remain disciplined.

I cultivated resilience, problem-solving prowess, and the fortitude to maintain composure during hectic periods.Fabrication Factory: My stint in a fabrication factory exposed me to a hands-on environment where manual dexterity, strict adherence to safety protocols, and seamless teamwork were indispensable. I gained invaluable insights into production processes, quality control, and the pivotal role of efficiency in manufacturing.Paper Route Ownership: From a young age, managing my own paper route showcased my entrepreneurial drive, sense of responsibility, and unwavering independence. Balancing multiple responsibilities instilled in me organizational finesse, time management skills, and a robust work ethic.In culmination, these diverse experiences sculpted me into a multifaceted individual endowed with a rich tapestry of skills and attributes. My adeptness at embracing new challenges and relentless pursuit of growth underscore my unwavering determination to excel.
