Operating in the Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) area of operations for Marine Air Support Squadron 2 (MASS-2). Responsible for working in the Direct Air Support Center (DASC) managing the processing of immediate requests for air support, integrating combined arms, managing terminal control assets, and procedural control of all aircraft within designated airspace. Over sought the development, planning, and management of live and virtual exercises to provide combat ready crews for the DASC and extensions.o Qualified as a Basic Controller and Tactical Air Director (TAD) in a two-year tour. Received TAD qualification for demonstrating proficiency in controlling fixed wing aircraft and creating recommendations for the most efficient use of available assets. o Appointed as Fire Support Coordination Exercise Air Support Element (ASE) Officer in Charge (OIC). As OIC, managed the planning and execution of the squadron’s involvement in an integrated exercise with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines (V33). Coordinated international travel arrangements for an eight Marine team. Conducted period of instruction on the air request process to foreign training partners. Supervised control of 30 aircraft sorties and 7 immediate requests. Surpassed training goals by achieving one basic controller qualification for a subordinate officer and 28 training and readiness events for the rest of the team. o Appointed as Squadron OIC for Talisman Sabre 21. Assisted in planning of Liaison Team involvement in large integrated exercise in Australia. o 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit Air Support Element Controller. Participated in the Korean Marine Exchange Program alongside V33. Was able to work with Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron 14 (HM-14) where I passed pertinent information to pilots in order to enhance situational awareness in the airspace; while also developing and implementing tactical scenarios to aid realistic training.

As the Team Embarkation Officer I was in charge of inspection, coordination of movement, and administrative handling of equipment and gear belonging to three battalion sized elements to be loaded onto a naval amphibious assault ship prior to deployment. Verified accuracy of all container inventory manifests and compliance of hazardous material storage. Coordinated convoy movements of equipment and vehicles to shore based staging area. Acted as liaison between 31st MEU command element logistics section and subordinate units to ensure effective communication of logistical requirements to load the ship.

Detachment 18 (DET-18) Maintenance Management Officer (MMO) responsible for coordinating and implementing maintenance and modifications of all gear and equipment belonging to the detachment.o Configured over 600 controlled memorandum receipt (CMR) items belonging to the detachment.o Improved the detachments night time tactical and operational capabilities by acquiring $4000 of NVG SL-3. o Coordinated and facilitated crucial maintenance of detachment crew served weapons, ensuring combat readiness and overall lethality.o Aggregated and analyzed data identifying $500,000 of SL-3 to be replaced, ensuring material readiness of all detachment sections.o Conducted monthly audits of over 400 CMR items to identify discrepancies and necessary maintenance actions. o Certified FSMAO compliance by facilitating 184% increase in record jackets owned and maintained by detachment and a 167% increase in SL-3 accounted for within record jackets.
