Required to perform various daily and weekly checks with the equipment including use of airborne particle counters and conductivity solution testing. Machinist in processes of general motor equipment on Heller and Hitachi Seiki machines. Gained practical working knowledge of statistical data analysis and quality improvement tools and techniques.

Research and testing of a new medical device designed to detect symptoms of internalpressure ulcers. This involved extrapolating results from several different methods of testing. It ranged from the mechanical properties of individual myofibrils to a patient’s tissue response to compression in the sacroiliac area.Chemical laboratory tests were conducted to isolate myofibrils and were tested using an AFM. Patient tissue compression was calculated using ELF software and custom made sensors. Experimental design was required to determine a calibration technique for these sensors. Set-ups including pendulum calibration, drop tests and time-based testing.Assisted in lectures and tutorials of various years of the Undergraduate Engineering course as well as Human Factors course for final year computer science course in Trinity College.
