Design engineer at CDE Global. Member of the CDE Europe team, dedicated to delivering specialist products in this region. Projects lead designer on the Aggmax & Rotomax machines, the CDE modular log-washer plant.Daily responsibilities focus on the design and delivery of customer solutions, achieved through use of various engineering softwares and methods, including but not limited to Siemens Solid Edge, BOM building and management through Siemens Teamcentre software, and drafting of technical drawings of engineering components, engineering plant solutions tailored to customer's desired site and process requirements using AutoDesk software.Lead design on a number of projects, which have additionally involved development of plant layout and civil drawings for customer site planning, management of team members developing other key plant items, meeting target schedule dates, and working with project managers to ensure plant costs are in line with the established project budget. Designated design team 'Super-User' for CDE's bespoke ERP software provided by IFS. Point of contact for ERP system and Teamcentre support. Following the acquisition of the company's fabrication facility in Monkstown, have played a close supporting role to the newly established manufacturing team at CDE 2020V including involvement with the engineering steering group to drive continuous 'design for manufacture' improvement strategies through the design department in line with new manufacturing capabilities.Other experience includes supporting the sales teams with customer layout proposals, renderings, engaging with customers face to face, supporting purchasing teams with pricing estimates and supplier info, and taking responsibility for helping less experienced team members.

Former design engineer with Colloide, involved with projects in the water treatment, energy and environmental industries. General work included the planning, design and implementation of engineering solutions to projects based in digital environments, the workshop and on site.My primary project was in the development and delivery of Chemical Dosing Systems for Severn Trent Water, under an AMP6 framework awarded to Colloide ES, through which I had taken on several duties. Responsibilities included:• The holistic realisation and development of all mechanical engineering systems and processes involved in the construction and operation of the Chemical dosing plants.• Creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD environments (Solidworks).• Drafting and submitting layout drawings, documentation and calculations to clients. Also reviewing customer civil drawings, and attending HAZOP development meetings.• Sourcing materials, drafting fabrication drawings, specifying and testing instruments and materials.• Project and resources management for the framework. Contacting and co-ordinating sub-contractors.• Heavily involved with site installation of chemical dosing plants, incorporation to existing sites, commissioning support, recording/reporting learnings and improvement opportunities and rectifying snags to ensure happy customer sign-off.I also worked with Welsh Water in delivering chemical dosing capabilities to one of their water treatment sites. Other projects I had been involved with were for district heating systems in Bunhill with LUL and a bridge-scraper framework awarded to Colloide ES by Scottish water.

The reception at Holywell is the first point of contact for all internal and external call handling and transfer not just on the Holywell site but also psychiatric care units and community mental health teams throughout Northern Ireland. As a result of the large volume of calls managed on the switchboard, the communication and active listening skills I've developed are vital not only to assist clients and employees of the Northern Trust, but in emergency situations in which the health and safety of clients and employees are at elevated risk.

Holywell provides in-patient and out-patient mental health services. Working as a member of the domestic services team, duties include serving patients’ evening meal, cleaning and sterilising food preparation/serving areas, disposal of any refuse on the wards, and general tidiness and upkeep of the facilities in the hospital. Given that many of the patients in the hospital are vulnerable and/or elderly, the maintenance of hygiene throughout the hospital is an essential job. Catering to the needs of the patients has greatly improved my communication and interpersonal skills, the part of the job I find most rewarding. As well as extensive health and safety training, I have also received the stage 2 award for food safety and catering from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
