As founder and director of The Dot, my dream was to build an online community where a diverse group of mental health professionals could offer counselling from a humanistic perspective for anyone seeking therapeutic support and guidance. The ultimate goal: to empower individuals to live their best lives and boldly grow forward. My clinic offers modern therapy for a modern world. Everything is online, accessible, and affirming for all people.As a therapist myself, I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are looking not only to cope with their struggles, but to find out more deeply about who they are and how they work in the world, how their mental health issues have them feeling 'stuck', and how they can learn to free themselves in order to live a more peaceful and meaningful life.My clinical experience includes working at community mental health centres, supporting young adults struggling with stressors, as well as in private practice with individuals and couples struggling with a variety of challenges. I provide psycho-education to a number of different organizations and communities, as well as running psychotherapy workshops to heal from mental health issues. My training experience includes Gestalt Therapy (5 years) from the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT), and clinical mindfulness trainings through Mindfulness without Borders as an add-on to my many years teaching and practicing meditation.I am occasionally asked to be interviewed for various publications as well as requested to support international conferences. I earned my bachelors degree with high distinction from the University of Toronto.
