I conducted a literature of the invasive species in Ireland in order to write the species profiles for the Biodiversity Ireland website and for writing preliminary drafts of information sheets for the ‘Species of Union Concern’ for dissemination to the relevant bodies (e.g. NPWS, customs, etc.). I also assisted Ms. O’Flynn in the delivery of a number of workshops on invasive species and their identification, to the general public and relevant stakeholders (e.g. County Council staff). Additionally I spent 6 weeks assisting Lynda Weekes, working on mapping aquatic plants as part of her PhD project to produce a classification system for river macrophytes.
