The news environment was great to work in, as it was always highly energetic, even frantic at times of breaking news stories. This position was great for developing my skill set, as I worked closely with the Marketing Manager on everything from creating and developing print advertising for various magazines to designing and building multiple branded websites. I also worked on the redesign and development of the new BLA website which was converting an outdated information based website into an e-commerce platform with over 30 different affiliate websites.

My position relied on working to tight deadlines while still exhibiting excellent attention to detail. The high pressure environment was one I could thrive on as it allowed me to work closely with creative teams, working together to solve problems. The work varied from updating an existing template to fit new content or effectively translating a creative concept into finished print-ready artwork.

My role includes working closely with a Creative Director and Website Developers to meet client briefs. I played an important part in setting up and maintaining processes and procedures for our design team. Some of the tasks I preformed were designing identities for corporate branding, developing through from logos to stationery, promotional items, websites and publication material.
