SM Group is a leading Marine Electronics distribution company, that have just taken on the distribution for Johnson Outdoor. With this acquisition they have added several well know and popular kayak, canoe and outdoor brands to their already strong portfolio.Although it is a change to leave the ski industry, I have always been a keen kayaker and at several points in my life always thought myself to be more of a paddler than a skier. I am really excited to be involved in the paddle sports and outdoor industry again and cant wait to get started.

I have established, through many of my own personal connections, long lasting relationships with the UK's leading tour operators, ski clubs, ski schools, and instructor associations. Many of which had previously been closed doors. These B2B associations have significantly increased Surefoots brand awareness and consumer reach, thus resulting in increased sales and greater profitability.I have also orchestrated various Surefoot product stands / pop up stores at exhibitions and events, including the design and far east manufacture of a purpose built inflatable store structure. As the Surefoot UK Manager my responsibilities very day to day, they include: Buying inventory, inventory control, staff hiring & training, store merchandising, p&l, forecasting, target setting, advertising & marketing, events and providing support to our network of European stores. I have found myself to thrive on the business side of the company, I enjoy the challenge of finding new ways to beat targets and love to find new ways to extend our reach and bring in new Surefoot customers. However, one of the highlights of a Surefoot Manager is still being hands on, I still fit ski boots, I still talk to customers and I still get to share my passion for skiing everyday.

I started my career at Surefoot in London as a Ski Boot Technician. My passion and dedication to the company quickly saw me working and training in various Surefoot stores in France, Switzerland and the USA. Within 18 months of joining Surefoot I became not only the the youngest, but the fastest (Trainee Technician to Manager) in the companies 28 year history.
