Boink is a mobile application for photo sharing and messaging. Users can send photos and videos that disappear some time after the recipient has viewed it to group or 1-1 chats. Its features include editing tools for photos, multimedia messaging, read receipts and a QR code scanner.Boink has had over 400,000 App Store impressions and more than 35,000 users.Boink was removed from the App Store due to legal action by Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP on behalf of Snap Inc.

Nap App is a mobile application for creating time-bomb chats. Users can create 1-1 or group chats that disappear forever after a set time.Our hypothesis was that starting chats that self-destruct after a certain time would encourage users to start more conversations, more often, and share more information.In practice we learnt that users do start a higher number of conversations, share more information such as their live location, and enjoy expressing themselves in the moment with photos and videos. However users can miss information by not checking their conversations in time.
