I care passionately about fostering a culture of shared knowledge and innovation to solve challenging and interesting problems.In addition, I am a Senior Research Fellow in Physics at Monash University. Formerly a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in Physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). As a member of the LIGO Scientific collaboration, I directly contributed to the data analysis, and scientific software and algorithm design for the 2017 Physics Nobel-Prize winning discovery of gravitational waves.Interested in Advisory/Consulting roles where I can work in a team environment and with an organisation involved in the Aerospace, Ad Tech, Quantum Computing, Finance, AI, and Biotech industries. I develop low-latency and scalable data analysis algorithms to infer information from signals contained in noisy experimental data from the LIGO experiment; an astrophysics experiment searching for gravitational waves. This requires highly accurate and fast modeling of the data. To model such data I employ techniques known collectively as "Reduced Order Modeling" (ROM) which is at the interface of machine learning and mathematical modeling. These ROM techniques yield highly efficient Monte Carlo sampling algorithms which often allow for several orders of magnitude improvements in efficiency, bringing analysis times from days to minutes. While I focus primarily on astrophysical data, the techniques are generic and apply in numerous fields, such as finance and optics.
