Rory heads RisCura Fundamentals, a leading provider of independent valuation services to investors in unlisted instruments in Africa. He has been involved in the valuation of over 150 projects in Africa since 2008 including infrastructure, agriculture, financial services, consumer goods, industrials and basic materials. These projects have been spread across 15 African countries including Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Rory has further worked on consulting projects for the African Development Bank and the IFC specifically for his skills in private equity and infrastructure in Africa. Rory also is regularly involved in pension fund trustee training around the continent, which includes training on private equity and infrastructure as an asset class, explaining the different risk profiles of private equity and infrastructure projects and the related returns that can be expected. He has spoken at private equity events in the UK, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa, and is a regular guest lecturer on private equity at the University of Cape Town.
