The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka is a flagship property within the company, generating just over 110M USD in annual revenues. With 9 F&B outlets producing 35m USD and Banquets at 40m USD, it is a luxury operation at scale with a tremendous 22 year reputation.Planned and executed renovations of 4 outlets and a full 291 bedroom and Club Lounge refurbishment during my tenure.

Reporting to the GM, I led a team of 115 staff and an operation including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 kitchens, banqueting, room service for 105 rooms and a café. Successes include improving service standards whilst reducing a significant cost base and restructuring the operation.

Reporting to the GM, I led a team of 140 staff and an operation including a restaurant, 2 bars, 1 lounge, 1 kitchen, banqueting and room service for 239 rooms. Successes were working with Local 6 union and re-launching the Pen-top bar to a new concept, Salon de Ning, achieving record revenues.

Reporting to the GM, I led a team of 107 staff and an operation including a restaurant, 2 bars, 1 kitchen, banqueting and room service for 406 rooms. Successfully opened the Food & Beverage operation after a renovation. Purchased all operating equipment valued just under £1m. Hired a new F&B team, developed SOP’s and service standards, conducted training and organised launch parties.

One of Europe’s largest banqueting operations with 42 conference, meeting and events spaces catering for up to 700 people in largest room. Reporting to the GM and company Chairman. Successes were a significant increase in service standards whilst incentivising a cost reduction of casual staff. It was a vital role of logistical organisation and flexibility. This role was taken to launch the new company flagship hotel The May Fair when completed.
