Second party checking of all assembly processes and BoMs. Timed assessment of assembly processing to ensure Lean principles are applied.• Assigned to the AW189 SAR contract as part of a 3 person mechanical team, managing a large proportion of the mechanical work and ensuring the build line was efficiently laid out using Lean and Kanban principles.• This involved working closely with the Final Assembly Line and aircraft fitters with daily contact to enabled build line issues to be quickly resolved by the manufacturing engineering team to include: fitment and alignment of panels and components, guiding and advising fitters through assembly drawings, ensure the correct component are supplied.• Working with our Italian based design counterparts, job cards were produced, modified and translated from the Italian built AW189 civil aircraft contract. This required daily contact between the Italian design and manufacturing engineering departments.• Being part of a small team I was in charge of all non-conformant issues raised on the SAR contract, including both mechanical and electrical issues. These issues were raised on SAP and either resolved by myself or distributed to the appropriate members of the team. Thisalso required regular meetings with aircraft managers, design teams and conference callswith the Italian design teams.• Issues resolved on the build of the aircraft included build sequence issues and lack of accessto assemble the aircraft. Quality issues of delivered components and investigation of issues. Supply of components and materials and resolving these through the MRP department and supply chain on SAP.• Working with the AW189 a composite structure aircraft, experiencing and planning the assembly of mechanical and structural components. Experiencing various manufacturing techniques, from bonding to riveting.
