• undertake and be responsible for the day-to-day work of the MEDAC;• propose the annual budget and be responsible for the financial management of the MEDAC;• make sure that the obligations, agreements, contracts and other legal obligations of the MEDAC as respected;• ensure that the objectives, policies and strategies as defined by the General Assembly or the Executive Committee are followed, and propose any necessary updates and revisions.• organize meetings and conferences and work with representatives from other organizations, relevant Member States, the European Commission, the European Parliament and other competent bodies in the region, including the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM);• invite suitable qualified experts to participate in meetings that could be of interest to the MEDAC and are in line with the MEDAC objectives;• promote and collaborate with research, studies and enquiries and, if the case, publish and disseminate the findings;• search for financial aid to allow the MEDAC to achieve its established objectives;• carry out any other activity, directly or indirectly, connected to attaining the objectives of the MEDAC, or to acting towards their achievement.

Assistant in an international fisheries context with the task of following negotiations and the ratification of International agreements, such as Eurofish. I work independently using English or French to prepare a variety of written communications (correspondence, reports), to participate actively in meetings and in work-related discussions. I translate from English or French into Italian and viceversa. Relations with EC: Workshop on the CFP Reform, A Coruna, may 2010; with FAO: activities and duties concerned with preparing and attending international meetings as a member of the Italian delegation of Fishery Advisory Bodies: GFCM, COFI, FAO Regional Projects: AdriaMed, MedSudMed. Contribute to and assist in the implementation and the development of the market and trade-related parts of the Common Fisheries Policy participate in session of the Management Committee set up to assist the Commission in the implementation of market policies. Establish contacts and enter into a dialogue with Member States authorities on all issues of relevance (eco-labelling, certification, traceability). Convene ad-hoc meetings with representatives of member States, if appropriate, with stakeholders. Participate in FAO meetings related to fisheries trade (Sub-Committee on Fishery Trade, Bremen, 2-6 June 2008).
