My supervisor in UNICEF said: “I hired her for quantitative analysis and she has brought more to the office than that (…)”. I feel honored by her comment because it acknowledges that I have to offer as a professional extends far beyond my skills on paper. Also, her comment evinces that despite of my quantitative abilities, I was able to be involved in different Projects with the different areas of the Office. As Senior Monitoring Assistant, I conduct strategic analysis to support the advocacy efforts of UNICEF in topics related to poverty, education, health, protection, public investment, and other issues that assure the fulfillment of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)I think my greatest achievements was the design, implementation and updating of the database that contained the main indicators of children and adolescents in Mexico (www.infoninez.mx). This database was a Project of UNICEF Mexico to support its advocacy work in favor of children's rights. In 2016 as part of the duties of the Mexican goverment, it was required to established a information system to monitor the fulfillment of the UNCRC in the country. Then, infoninez was transferred to the Mexican government as the basis of the National System of Information established on The General Law on the Rights on the Rights of Children and Adolescents (https://www.infosipinna.org/)I was part of the team that implemented the first round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) in Mexico. The MICS was undertaken in all the country and it was aimed to collect information from children and women about health, nutrition and sexual environment in children. As part of the coordination work among the areas in UNICEF, I coordinated the Mexican chapter of the “Out of School”, global initiative. I organized the presentation of results in the headquarter of UNICEF (NYC) through the participation of adolescents from Mexico and Brazil.

The objective of The Rural Microfinance Technical Assistance Program (PATMIR) was/is to promote secure and sustainable financial services and insurance in rural areas, where until now the access of financial services is limited. As responsible of evaluating and monitoring the goals of PATMIR, I designed and administrated the database that contained the information related to the beneficiaries of the Program. Focused on technical assistant to financial institutions, the database also contained the results of the institutions. As part of the evaluation duties, I designed a survey aimed to know the qualitative impact of the beneficiaries. The survey were implemented in more than twenty five states of the Mexican Republic (Programme coverage), and collected information from direct beneficiaries from the financial institutions, staff of the financial institutions at all levels and some local authorities. I participated in the second and third phase of PATMIR. During both I actively propose changes according to the results I observed in the field but also considering the local and national context and the sucessful experiences of rural microfinances around the world. To initiate the third phase I reorganized the guidelines to effectively include indigenous women in the Program.
