I am the lead for the Applied Intelligence department and in charge of managing data architecture, data engineering, machine learning, data visualization, data strategy and robotics process automation for two offices. In my role as project management senior manager, I help executives make staffing decisions across the organization by translating and distilling complex technical language into more digestible information. I support diversity & inclusion efforts and multiple employee resource groups, and serve as the executive sponsor for our women’s employee resource group. Additionally, I serve as career counselor for eight resources, a function which provides guidance to employees for career development and progression. I also lead internal projects to track development trends within the applied intelligence industry (i.e.: machine learning, big data, natural language processing) to identify emerging technology and trends for assessment. I was responsible for managing data engineers across solutioning options, development and presentation of analytics and facilitated demo of analytic dashboards with capability leadership for status and feedback.

Responsible for driving key metrics to show business value of a large-scale DoD ERP consolidation effort using a Scaled Agile Framework approach. I lead a team in dashboard development, coordinating data collection amongst various functional and technical teams and work closely with customer stakeholders to identify KPIs and other measurements to achieve program value realization. I host innovation topics and drive a quantitative and qualitative results-driven focus to continuous improvements, working collaboratively with other teams to consider new ways of thinking.

I established, tracked and managed the completion of project deliverables across all teams, to include data science, user design, technical architecture and development, through Azure DevOps in order to deliver a predictive analytics model solution (pilot) for improving donor kidney acceptance.

I implemented structure, process and organization to support scalability and keep up with quickly increasing adoption, after the client recently created an Enterprise Data Lake on AWS GovCloud. I was responsible for overseeing and executing the creation of a structured repository for team data engineering knowledge share, and developing process guidelines across data projects, cloud infrastructure and network requests to support 10+ project teams.Additionally, I staffed and onboarded 25+ hires and expanded product and enhancement opportunities for Enterprise Data Lake. I led Authority To Operate (ATO) and Client Data Protection (CDP) activities for the program, tracking and managing artifacts, and engaging executive leadership to report and demonstrate compliance and security of the environment.

As project manager, I wrote and submitted various contract proposals to clients which resulted in contract awards of $11 MIL+ across various product development task orders. I executed Scrum Agile methodology and managed 34 FTE’s across multiple locations, and coordinated with 2 other service vendors to deliver a unified cloud SaaS solution. Interfaced regularly with executives and key stakeholders providing metrics and content around project progress, issues & risks.

I served as the deputy manager for the sustainment and operations team including system administration, cyber security, app development, business intelligence, and functional teams (100+ members). I also was appointed Project Manager for the HBSS implementation for the program which included tracking to a 3 month deadline for closure of < 200 Security Technical Implementation Guide for Plan of Action Milestones in preparation for acquiring multi-year ATO, which was successfully awarded.I also oversaw the continued success of sustainment efforts requiring effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop content for executive level stakeholders as well as software, data, and system engineers. In this role, I managed and interfaced with senior level executives, stakeholders, partners, and cross-functional teams in order to build relationships and understand their outcomes, escalations and needs.

I managed all the day-to-day operations of the Business Intelligence (BI) system leading a production support team of 20+ members to improve communication, processes, and efficiency as well as inter-team collaboration. I was responsible for recruiting, retention, and motivating a highly effective team of leaders, developers and analysts; manage performance and growth in the data organization, teach executive engagement skills and develop bench. In this role, I expanded my team from 2 to 20+ to support the enterprise across all aspects of data management and reporting. I collaborated with San Antonio delivery center leadership and program management to expand operations teams in San Antonio in all areas of support to reduce overall support costs for client.I managed the business intelligence operations delivery schedule and costs, as well as operational and performance system metrics, change management and risk. I was responsible for a continuous improvement project to get the current service management tool up to ITIL compliant industry standards to better manage and respond to service level agreements.

In this role, I was responsible for system administration, application installs, data transfers and configuration of SAP application. I was the provisioner of user access roles and authorizations, and created and distributed multiple technical work documents for project team members, facilitating knowledge transfer and reducing install times.
