My years of experience have given me a great deal of confidence that I can accomplish any goal I set for myself. My skills and experiences are broad but all culminate to one ideal, my love of learning and accomplishing new things. I spent the last 5 years as a homemaker, tending to my 2 small children, husband, and home. It’s probably the hardest job I’ll ever love. During this time I have assisted in my husband’s graphic design business and I’ve done the research and writing for personal projects and publications. Most importantly I have continued to expand my knowledge never allowing myself to be content or stagnant. I have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and I am wonderful with numbers. Working in sales and marketing and the financial services industry helped to sharpen my presentation and leadership skills. I learned to connect to people emotionally to lead a client or a colleague in the right direction. These skills served me well when I began working in education as a college counselor for middle and high school students. Having the ability to connect with the students allowed me to help them with their goal of pursuing higher education. My ability to communicate and connect, my ability to adapt and learn quickly, my affinity to numbers and my desire for continued learning are my greatest assets. I am also a native Spanish speaker, a martial artist, a sports enthusiast, and an avid reader.
