Currently, I am responsible for Data Portfolio Manager Unit in Corporate and Investment Banking division within BBVA, responsible for the promotion and coordination of Data Agenda, including the way the different businesses and support units use data in their decision making processes and create solutions based on data as our key strategic asset.For the previous 7 years I had been head of Strategy & Business Development unit for Global Transaction Banking in BBVA, which is one of the business units at Corporate & Investment Banking division. My main focus was on transformational projects for the different product lines in GTB, Cash Management and Trade & SCF being the most important ones. I was also responsible for strategic planning and control for the area, including human resources, marketing, and financials and strategic KPIs.During my career I acquired a strong background in the Finance Industry, mainly in the Capital Markets and Investment Banking area. I took part in the definition of policies, procedures and methodologies for market, credit, operational and business continuity risk management in different international Financial Institutions in Spain and Latin America.Besides that, I participated in the definition and implementation of performance measurements (RoRaC) and losses databases related with the publication of the New Capital Basle Accord (BIS II).
