Power of One for All - POOFA. Org is a non profit organization founded by Rosa Isabel Chavez, CTE Fashion Educator at the High School of Fashion Industries, to support the academic related financial needs of her students. Located in NYC’s Chelsea historic garment center neighborhood, HSFI is the only public school in the United States offering a major in the field of fashion design. The school is officially designated as a Title 1 school, in which the majority of students come from families supported by federal financial assistance. Under the leadership of Ms. Chavez, the non profit creates fundraising initiatives for scholarships and special programs, including summer study abroad pre-college credit courses in collaboration with the Florence University of the Arts - www.FUA.it
