Coming from an immigrant family with no one in the medical field, it was rough when someone got sick. The hospital wasn’t an option because the bill would be too high. So whenever my grandparents got sick, I searched the signs and symptoms on Google, hoping to find a treatment. However, finding out what to do was almost impossible since many illnesses share the same symptoms. Especially with no clinical knowledge, I felt hopeless. We just tried different methods until my grandparents felt better.This all inspired me to enter the medical field where I can make a difference in other people’s lives, especially my family. With the knowledge I gain from pharmacy school and work, I am confident I can help my family maintain good help. Especially in times of need, I will know what to do and how to help. It’s crazy how a tiny pill can change someone’s entire life.
