I am a Solicitor specialising in Planning and Highways Law, recognised by Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Partner’ in the West Midlands (2025), and also ranked by Chambers & Partners in the wider Midlands region (2025).I advise on both contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including strategic planning advice, judicial review and other Planning Court challenges, compulsory purchase, and planning enforcement issues. As well as negotiating Section 106 Obligations and other infrastructure agreements, I also advise on other matters affecting development, such as town and village greens, public rights of way, assets of community value, protected species, and tree preservation orders. I have particular experience of acting for developers and promoters in relation to residential development, but also act on behalf of lenders, registered providers of affordable housing, and local authorities, as well as third parties with an interest in the planning process, such as local residents' groups.I am a contributing author to LexisNexis PSL's planning law guidance, and have had articles published in or contributed to a number of publications including the Property Law Journal, Planning Magazine, The Planner, Grand Designs Magazine, and the Law Society’s book ‘Property Development’. I also speak regularly on planning law and policy.
