Delivering Sustrans' Paths for Everyone vision for the National Cycle Network across the East of England, developing accessible walking and cycling routes. Organise and oversee the delivery of the Country Trust’s Countryside Discovery Residential Programme in Norfolk, for schools with a higher than average proportion of children eligible for Free School Meals, travelling from inner London. Help to bring the working countryside alive for those children least able to access it; a transformative educational experience.

- Run a 7.5 acre Community Supported Agriculture scheme, producing ecologically grown vegetables for around 140 members.- Manage volunteers on a weekly basis, organising tasks and tools, demonstrating and guiding activities, appropriate for age group and abilities.- Design and run internship schemes and workshops on food growing.- Create and manage yearly farm budget.- Write business plan for the long-term sustainability of the Farm.- Partnership work with a range of organisations.

Almería Area, Spain

- Co-managed 7 gardens using organic methods to produce vegetables, fruit and herbs for up to 40 paying volunteers at the environmental education project.- Experienced in all aspects of growing: creating planting and cropping plans for year round production; plant propagation; soil management (including use of animal and green manures, making and use of composts); pest and weed control; harvesting and storage of produce. Planting and caring of fruit trees.- Managed and taught volunteers, ran courses in horticulture and low-impact living, and conducted educational tours of the gardens.- Experience of building polytunnels, hot beds, cold frames, plant supports and raised beds out of predominantly recycled materials.- Extensive team work experience gained through closely liaising with 6 other departments. Experience in consensus decision making, conflict resolution, non-violent communication methods.

Accra, Ghana

6 month project in an international team of 10 to identify the achievements, obstacles and potential interventions for sustainable urban and peri-urban agriculture in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA).This included field research (2 weeks in Accra), capacity building, project proposals, a 10,000 word report to the Ghanaian Ministry of Food and Agriculture and presentations to the Ghanaian government and at the UCL’s Conference on Urban Agriculture in the Global South.
