I have over 20 years' experience of advising trustees of many of the largest pension schemes in the UK and their sponsoring companies on all aspects of pensions law, including trust law and regulatory advice. I have specialist expertise in benefit change and liability management programmes, valuation negotiations (including involvement from The Pensions Regulator) and contingent asset arrangements, and in-depth knowledge on de-risking, buy-out, investment and governance issues. I also regularly advise on the pension aspects of corporate takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganisations (including clearance). I lead Linklaters' Pensions Investment Practice, which brings together experts from the firm’s investment management, derivatives and structured products and pensions teams to provide the firm’s clients with cost-effective, user-friendly advice on their investment matters.I am a member of the Policy and Public Affairs Committee of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI), and FPMI-qualified. I also sit on the PMI's Master Trust working group. I have spoken regularly at industry conferences, including the main conferences organised by Pensions and Lifetime Association (PLSA) and the Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) and the Trustee Conference of the PMI.
