About Rosalind Smith

Hello! I am an experienced trainer in any subjects relating to the safety and safeguarding of adults with care and support needs. I specialise in the laws pertaining to safeguarding adults such as The Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2009 (DoLS), Liberty Protection Safeguards, Modern Slavery and Lasting Powers of Attorney. I have been designing and delivering these very specialised courses for many years now and often get very positive feedback from participants. My delivery style is very much discussion based, especially at the higher-level safeguarding training for professionals as there is much more value in this style of learning.I have delivered training to health organisations, domestic abuse organisations, charities, care companies, the police, fire and rescue and many local authorities. I pride myself on delivering bespoke training tailored to the needs of the organisation and in context with their role and objectives.I am now an approved centre for Qualsafe and deliver The Award in Education and Training (AET) and the QA Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF). Both courses can be delivered face to face or via Teams/Zoom/Google Meets
