For my position at Animal Friends Alliance I held the title of Animal Care Technician and I also worked as an Adoptions Counselor at the Taft Hill campus (dogs) where I assisted potential adopters with meeting our residents and gave them information about the dogs. I also worked to keep the shelter clean along with the dogs, and to keep them stimulated. I worked at our vaccine clinic events that happened both at our Mulberry campus (which houses the cats) and at a location in Loveland, both are open to the public. There I administered vaccines and performed physical examinations under supervision of our on staff veterinarian. I later took on the task of working with the reception staff for our medical team. For this position I was expected to take phone calls from clients and schedule swim lessons and different swim classes. I learned how to use MINDBODY software in order to accomplish these tasks. I additionally updated swim instructors schedules.

For this role I assisted with the care and management of up to 25 children. I led arts and crafts along with games and other activities.

I worked alongside the animal behaviorist at the shelter. I helped him evaluate animals (cats and dogs) based on behavior, through exercise and socialization. I worked with the veterinary staff at the shelter with administering medications and performing health evaluations. Also helped with daily feeding and cleaning of the shelter animals.
