MY MISSION is to promote science literacy by developing stimulating chemistry and laboratory courses that are contextually relevant to the daily lives of my students. WITH MORE THAN 25 YEARS OF ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE, I have discovered two components that are indispensable to students’ comprehension in the chemistry classroom or lab: Adequate mathematical background, and ability to relate to the subject matter. In this vein, I design lessons and lab experiments that are relevant to the daily lives of my students – their professions, cultures, or the human experience in general. This methodology, coupled with my ability to lay the requisite mathematics groundwork, has contributed to my success in guiding students at the high school and college levels.VARIED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES have afforded me a unique multicultural perspective and an ability to relate to a diverse range of students. Some of my distinctive achievements are featured below:ACHIEVEMENT HIGHLIGHTS:---> Authored Yeshiva University’s lab manuals for Liberal Arts Chemistry.---> Integrated the use of probe-ware interfaced with computers for automated, real-time data acquisition in student labs.---> Current experience includes training high school teachers in the use of laboratory technology as a Science Coach on behalf of the American Chemical Society.I am currently seeking additional teaching opportunities.
