National coordinator of the clinical research project entitled "A Randomized, Open-Label Trial of CONvalescent Plasma for Hospitalized Adults With Acute COVID-19 Respiratory Illness (CONCOR-1)" sponsored by McMaster University in Canada. The objective is to assess whether transfusion of convalescent plasma collected from donors who recovered from COVID-19 and had detectable anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies reduces the risk of intubation or death at 30 days in adults who were admitted to the hospital with illness breathing by COVID-19 compared to standard treatment.Supervising and guiding research assistants in the recruitment and randomization of patients, as well as in the insertion of patient data in the REDCap system. I was responsible for meeting the demand of the company that monitors and audit the study in Brazil. I was also responsible for obtaining and organizing the legal documents necessary to carry out the study as well as for compliance with good clinical practices.

I worked in several laboratories in the sectors of Laboratory Service of Hematology and Laboratory Service of Hemotherapy of the institution, improving and executing various techniques.Last year (2020), I worked on the implementation of the laboratory to perform RT-PCR for COVID-19. I assisted in the planning and organization of the laboratory flowchart for the institution. I worked in the execution of RT-PCR tests, interpretation and release of results in the Laborium system.Tests were carried out for the institution's patients and also for external institutions, such as the central laboratory in Rio de Janeiro (Lacen / RJ) and Aeronautics.

Responsible for the General Pathology classes in the discipline of Basic Mechanisms of Health and Disease for the classes of Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition and in the discipline of General Pathology for the Pharmacy class.

Project: "Standardization and optimization of flow cytometry protocols applied to clinical investigation of lupus nephritis".Evaluation of immunological aspects in order to identify different circulating inflammatory molecules and / or cells in patients with different degrees of renal impairment or in activity.Evaluation of circulating molecules involved in the generation of inflammation (IL-4, IL-10, IL-12, IL-17, IFN-gamma, TNF, NO) through the simultaneous detection test based on flow cytometry (Luminex or CBA) .Flow cytometry analysis of monocyte (CD14, CD16, CXCR1, CXCR2) and T cells (CD4 +, CD8 +, CD4 / CD8), and regulatory T cells (CD4 + CD25 + IL-17) in patients' peripheral blood with SLE with different degrees of renal impairment.
