Genesis De Rizal School, Philippines (2008-2009) IT/Network Administration JOB DESCRIPTION TheDatabase Network Administrator is responsible for the overall operation,maintenance, and security of the campus domain andWindows based servers and systems. Thisincludes user account management, backup/recovery,file and print systems, email, web, anti-virus,and other mission critical applications. Essential Responsibilities:• Maintaincurrent user accounts, security groups, distribution lists, and other activedirectorycomponentsfor the college• Ensurethat all Windows based systems are patched and up to date• Maintainfile, print, web, and anti-virus servers• Workwith the Director of Systems and Support to develop and maintain an effectivebackup,disasterrecovery, and business continuance plan• Provideescalated support for desktops, printers, and other technology as needed• Workwith the Client Services Manager to track and maintain hardware, software, andprinterinventoriesand resolve any issues related to IP addressing or network communicationproblems• Troubleshootnetwork connectivity issues internally and externally for client computers,servers,andoutside entities• Assistthe Director of Systems and Support with identifying, specifying, and procuringhardware,software,and printers for the College• Assistthe Client Services Manager with imaging and deploying hardware, software, andprinterstovarious individuals and departments on campus• Identifyand advises management/administration on current issues in informationtechnology andemergingtechnologies as they relate to higher education• Participatein on-call night and weekend rotation for technical emergencies Secondary Responsibilities:• Serveas backup to the Client Services Manager in his/her absence• Assistwith training and supervising work study students• Serve on committees and advisory groups as needed
