Through Axcis Education I undertook a variety of SEN Teaching Assistant roles, which provided me with a wide range of experience in a relatively short period. At times this role was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. During periods of interruption I undertook bank work for Creative Support. Despite this I managed to complete an uninterrupted period of one year in a SEN TA role, and between January 2021 and March 2021, I was selected to work as the sole SEN TA for Year 4 and did so onsite.

There were two main duties of this role; organising the annual Manchester schools debating competition and running the MDU's outreach programme. Manchester schools debating competition is an 80 team strong event which involves being responsible for 160 secondary school age children. The outreach programme consists of debating workshops ran in secondary schools teaching children how to debate and trying to widen access to higher education.

It involves establishing, executing and maintaining the executive's vision for the union by managing 10 other committee members. The specialised part of this executive role was that I was responsible for the creation of all marketing materials and curation of online postings to maintain the institution's brand.
