Throughout my practicum, I delivered trauma-informed, anti-oppressive care to survivors of war and torture, providing individual counseling, group therapy, and case management services. A key focus was guiding newcomers through the refugee claimant process and delivering settlement services to foster their community integration. Additionally, I contributed to the agency's community engagement efforts and collaborated with other community organizations to establish a robust support network for clients.

Collaborating closely with the Gender Studies department, I played a key role in crafting a robust business case to advocate for the establishment of a Social Justice & Equity program at Lakehead University. This involved conducting in-depth informational interviews with professors both in Canada and internationally who were actively engaged in teaching related programs. By gathering diverse insights and perspectives, I was able to enrich the rationale behind the proposed program. Additionally, I conducted a thorough analysis of the teaching resources required to ensure the program's effectiveness. Based on these findings, I contributed to the development of recommendations regarding the feasibility and potential implementation of the proposed program.
