Rose Chiang is a data scientist and a bioengineer with a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California. She specializes in spatial biology, a cutting-edge field that integrates imaging, genomics, and computational methods to reveal the spatial organization and interactions of cells and molecules in tissues. She currently works at Akoya Biosciences, a leading company in spatial biology solutions, where she helps developing software for the analysis of highly multiplex imaging data. She has also co-founded Kulia Labs, a startup that launched hardware and software products for automating quality control process for robotics, and helped raising $7MM+ in funds. She has a strong background in translational imaging, machine learning, and technology commercialization, and has multiple patents, publications, awards, and fellowships to her credit.
