I am a highly motivated individual who has instinctive qualities for leadership, and advocating for others. I have earned a Bachelors in Applied Behavior, a Masters of Education in Human Relations and Counseling, and a Masters in Social Work. I have experience in both the medical and mental/behavioral health fields. I have worked with both children and adults, including geriatrics, palliative and hospice care.I have been an advocate and community liaison for the Dewey-Humboldt community for over 7.5 years regarding the Iron King/Humboldt Smelter Superfund site. I held the position of CEO for The Community Coalition of Dewey-Humboldt which held the Technical Assistant Grant for the EPA and the IK/HS Superfund.As CEO and TAG grant holder, I collaborated with the U of A, ATSDR, The Arizona Department of Health, The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, The EPA, and the Community Members of Dewey-Humboldt. As a community advocate, I was asked to participate and be a guest speaker for citizens science projects at the first Citizen Science Fair in San Jose, CA, and to participate in and guest speak at the EPA Training Seminar in Atlanta, GA.Although I know longer hold this position, I am still very much involved, but as an interested citizen.
