Part of the Digital Implementation and Design leadership team, sitting in the broader general merchandise and clothing eCommerce team, I am responsible for the management and prioritisation of workload and capacity across the Argos (inc Tu @ Argos) and Habitat websites. I define, implement and govern key processes and SLA’s across the team, working with a number of stakeholders in the wider eCommerce and Marketing functions to ensure key priorities are delivered. I provide workload plans and recommendations to manage short and long term priorities and use a workflow management tool and workload forecasting to support my planning and decision making.

Responsible for trading the Consumer Electronics categories (Televisions, Home/Personal Audio etc) across desktop, mobile and apps to provide a best in class customer experience and journey. Some of my responsibilities include: • Category optimisation using analytics (Adobe Omniture), surfacing key products and promotions with the aim of improving conversion and sales and increasing online participation.• Carrying out regular category reporting and analysis to monitor and understand performance, being reactive to the numbers and implementing action plans when necessary.• Completing weekly briefs to support promotional and non-promotional activity, based on both category and business priorities.• Working collaboratively with the trading teams to understand their objectives and key deals etc and providing recommendations for a full digital execution• Producing comprehensive category plans to aid with trading meetings and give a clear view of current and future activity, in line with category objectives.• Working with other digital teams across the department including paid search, natural search, online display and email to help drive traffic and awareness and assist in overall category performance.• Working with the Digital Intelligence team to gain further analytical insight into online performance to help shape future decisions and activity.• Liaising with suppliers to understand their key objectives and advising them on how to best support promotions/new ranges across our digital channels.

As Assistant Marketing Manager I was responsible for the smooth running of the Marketing department and managed a small team of people, some of my responsibilities included:• Delegating tasks and helping the team to achieve deadlines as well as pushing individual development.• Producing reports detailing the current and future activity within the Marketing department.• Involvement in a range of meetings with Senior Managers/Directors to discuss new and innovative ideas to help push forward the department and company.• Working with people from various departments to come up with ways of improving productivity and efficiency within Marketing and other departments in the business.• Proof reading product content before it went live on the website.• Keeping departmental procedures up to date.• Producing and implementing training plans for new and existing employees to help them to develop their skill set.• Conducting appraisals, discussing development and ways to progress the team in their roles by setting goals and objectives.• Helping to organise the launch of a new branch which included managing and co-ordinating a range of activities prior to and during the event itself.

As Marketing Assistant some of my responsibilities included: • Keeping the website up to date including launching new products, writing blog posts and keeping the customer photo gallery up to date.• Producing comprehensive competitor analysis reports to ensure we were the most competitive in the market.• Organising exhibitions across the UK to promote the brand and products. This also included managing the stand and working as a sales representative.• Sending out E-Shots about various promotional activity.• Using Photoshop Elements to edit product images for use in advertising across the website as well as in brochures/leaflets.• Using Microsoft Dynamics Nav to enter new products into the database and keep track of pricing history.
