Rose began working at the Institute for Protein Design at the beginning of her freshman year at the University of Washington, where she was involved in the design and development of both prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines. She is very well-versed in plasmid cloning, as well as protein expression, purification, and assaying. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in June of 2020, Rose began working as a research scientist in the lab of Professor Devin Schweppe at the University of Washington, developing proteomics assays and novel data acquisition strategies. Here, she expanded her skill set to include HP and RP liquid chromatography, LC-MS, mammalian cell culture, and various proteomics techniques.Though she is dedicated to all of the many projects she has taken on, Rose's foremost passion is in the development of novel cancer therapies, including immunotherapy and nanoparticle drug delivery.
