HUB Cycling encourages more people to ride bikes for transportation in order to create healthier, happier communities. In this role, I lead the development, funding and evaluation of all cycling education programs, reaching 20,000+ participants annually. I oversee a team of 7 managers and coordinators, along with over 25 instructors who support program delivery, marketing and management.

Guiding and instructing children and adults in beginner and intermediate level kayak courses and tours. Skills taught include basic strokes, wet exits and recoveries and navigation. Interpreted the natural and cultural landscape of Vancouver from the unique perspective of kayaking the inner bays and shoreline of the city.

By coordinating a team of over 30 instructors I help thousands of people every summer experience the joy of paddling. Advance planning, efficient sales administration and excellent communication ensure dozens of lessons and tours happen every week from May to September. I'm also also responsible for Ecomarine's marketing and communications, such as web site administration, social media content and print materials design.

As a cycling instructor, I helped young and old build confidence in their cycling abilities and comfort while riding on the road. Course content covered diverse topics such as road safety, mechanics, weather & gear, riding with kids or learning to ride for the very first time. Courses participants were from all over Metro Vancouver and many different backgrounds. Format included both classroom settings and on-road instruction.

Intermittent contracts with the Outdoor Education Department delivering a wide range of programming to students in grades 5-9. Guiding students on four day wilderness expeditions in southwestern BC.

Administration and delivery of over 150 educational programs in Stanley Park and Lower Mainland classrooms. Development of pilot programs for diverse audiences, including market research and marketing. Assisting with various other projects in School Program and Public Education and Outreach departments. Connected over 2300 people directly with Stanley Park's forest, intertidal and wetland ecosystems through high quality experiential programs.

Supervised and inspired over 400 students to engage with nature through a fun and safe overnight camping experience in Stanley Park. Coordinated and supported a team of nine volunteers. Developed a flexible and relevant evening program of nature walks, games and interactive activities.

Lead over 800 people on entertaining and informative snowshoe tours during the day and evening within Cypress Mountain Nordic area. Taught beginner cross country ski lessons to children and adults.• Nominated for a Tourism Vancouver Customer Service Award
